Orthopedics

Our Orthopedic Department offers integrated injury evaluation, operative and non-operative treatment for various musculoskeletal problems. The physicians provide sports medicine/team physician services to two area high schools, four colleges, Lexington Legends professional baseball team, and Lexington Horsemen professional indoor football team and are consultants for the U.S. Tennis Association. In addition, Orthopedic Department treats over 1,500 patients a year and receives patients from national and international referrals.

Physical Therapy

Lexington Clinic Physical Therapy Department has gained national recognition for its methods and success in treating musculoskeletal disorders. Numerous articles have been published in professional journals and many presentations have been made at professional meetings, to share Lexington Clinic’s innovative approach to physical therapy. Physical therapists and physicians from the United States, Europe and Asia have visited the Lexington Clinic Sports Medicine Center to gain additional insight into our management of orthopedic problems and functional physical therapy approach.

Lexington Clinic Physical Therapy follows a functional therapeutic exercise approach customized to meet the needs of each patient. We pride ourselves on providing efficient, quality care. Our certified athletic trainers support the physical therapists to provide integrated rehabilitation programs. Athletic Training Outreach

Research/Education/Professional Visits

Lexington Clinic Sports Medicine Center is dedicated to the exchange of information to and from the scientific body of knowledge. Sports Medicine Center staff has published over 100 scientific articles, 20 book chapters, and five books and have given over 600 lectures and presentations about sports medicine.
